He hails from an agricultural family.Initially he was engaged in Textile Business and management of financial agencies. Even during those days, he was seriously thinking about starting educational institutions, which are totally different from other existing institutions at Erode.

In the year 1992 he formed an Educational Trust in the name and style of Sri Nandha Educational Trust at Erode with his family members as Trustees. Initially in the same year the Trust started Nandha College of Pharmacy with an annual intake of 60 students.

Now there are 14,100 students are studying in the above said institutions with 1100 staff (Teaching & Non-Teaching) on the rolls. The Students are taught by devoted and dedicated faculties. In Erode District, this is the only Trust running varied institutions. Nandha Engineering College got Autonomous Status in 2013. It is one of the 25 self-Financing Engineering Colleges out of 517 in Tamilnadu.

He was the recipient of outstanding Citizen by the Erode Texcity Junior Chamber in September 2002. He attended 19th Congress of Federation of Asian Pharmaceutical Associations (FAPA) at South Korea in October 2002.Currently, he serves as an Institutional Ethical Committee member of I.R.T. -Perundurai Medical College and Hospital, Perundurai.
He is also a one of the Patrons of Makkal Sinthani Peravai that organizes book festival in Erode every year to inculcate the habit of reading.

Scholarship
The trust offers Rs. 75,00,000 every year as Scholarship for meritorious students. Besides, disabled Students and sportsmen also get scholarship. Innovation Day To encourage the young scientist, every year the trust organizes Innovation day wherein above 6000 students from government schools are given opportunity to view the innovative projects. Transport facility is provided both for students and public. Competitions for School Students Various competitions like drawing, chess, and painting are organized for school students and handsome prizes are awarded. Social Services To Serve public, the trust organizes various campaigns like Blood Donation, Nutrition details for pregnant women and Children, Eye Checkup etc., at nearby villages.
